 Omni Studio Basics for Beginners

OmniStudio

With OmniStudio, you can create experiences with guided interactions for your customers and agents and with data from your Salesforce org and external sources. And you can do it with drag-and-drop setup and low-code tools. OmniStudio is available to select Industry Cloud customers.

OmniStudio tools are digital-first, agile, and omnichannel.

OmniStudio is a low-code or no-code, digital interaction builder used to deploy digital-first and industry-specific experiences across channels. It’s flexible enough to provide programmatic options with the ease of building declaratively.

What is OmniStudio?

Create guided user experiences without code Streamline processes: just what you need and what tasks to complete.

Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) Digital Platform Components are divided in following categories.

1.FlexCard

2.OmniScript

3.DataRaptor

4.Integration Procedures

1.FlexCards — Display contextual information and provide access to relevant tasks for the displayed data.

2.OmniScripts — Guide users through sales, service, and other business processes.

Use external data easily with your FlexCards and OmniScripts. These data services read, write, transform, calculate, and track data within and outside of Salesforce.

3.DataRaptors — Retrieve, transform, and update data. DataRaptors typically provide data to OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, and FlexCards. They can update data from OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, and FlexCards.

4.Integration Procedures — Declarative, server-side processes that take multiple actions in a single server call. An integration procedure can be called from an OmniScript, an API, or an Apex method, and it can be a data source for a FlexCard.

Simplify your DevOps with tools to migrate changes and their dependencies between orgs.

IDX Workbench — A desktop application to migrate data packs and Salesforce metadata from one org to another or from an org to a Git repository

IDX Build Tool — A command-line automation tool that packages and migrates OmniStudio data packs.
